Pumas of Patagonia 2024
This Pumas of Patagonia trip is a special kind of photo safari. We will be in SUV's as our guides will be searching for pumas. When a puma is found we will drive as close as the road allows then will be on foot. Most of the pumas we will be photographing are comfortable in our presence.
For your comfort, there will be two back to back trips. That way we only have a maximum of six guests per trip. People have more space in the vehicles, no one has to sit in the middle seat and the pumas are more relaxed with a smaller group.
Pumas of Patagonia Group One Itinerary May 27- Arrive and overnight in Santiago. May 28- Fly to Punta Arenas- Drive to our hotel near Tores del Paine National Park May 29, 30, 31, June 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. Ten full days photographing pumas. During one of these days we will visit the park to take landscape pictures. June 8- Transfer to Punta Arenas- Fly to Santiago. Overnight in Santiago. June 9- Fly Home Pumas of Patagonia Group Two Itinerary June 7- Arrive and overnight in Santiago. June 8- Fly to Punta Arenas- Drive to our hotel near Tores del Paine National Park June 9,10,11,12,13,14. Six Full days photographing pumas. During one of these days we will visit the park to take landscape pictures. June 15- Transfer to Punta Arenas- Fly to Santiago. Overnight in Santiago. June 16- Fly Home Trip Cost & Deposit 2024 Group One
We have a six guest maximum on this trip.
The cost of this trip is $12,733.00 US. Deposit is $2500.00 US. For a single room all throughout the trip, your trip cost is $14,313.00. The first six deposits hold our trip and confirms your spot. All the deposits that come in will be sent to the Patagonia tracking company to hold our spots. Our trip is not confirmed until all six deposits are received. If we go with 5 guests, the price will be $600.00 higher. We are quoted based on the number of guests we have. I will keep everyone who sends in a deposit informed.
Group Two
The cost of this trip at four guests is $11,120.00 US. Deposit is $2200.00 US.
Difficulty Level
We will have two vehicles. Two guides for two vehicles or three guides for three vehiicles. Everyone must be able to walk at least 100 yards on uneven ground to and from each sighting. Most of the sightings are within 100 yards of the vehicle. Some ore closer. Sometimes we start out 100 yards away and if the pumas are moving we may have to follow them. If people can't walk to a sighting, they can wait in the vehicle.
-Lunch on the way to the hotel from Punta Arenas.
-Breakfast, Lunch and dinner starting with breakfast on May 29 to breakfast on June 8th.
-Hotel Room at Holiday Inn Express on May 27 and June 8.
-Return business class or premium comfort flights from Santiago to Punta Arenas. Sometimes we have lay back business seats and other times we have premium comfort seats. It depends on the plane Latam uses. The premium seats are very well priced and as photgraphers we have extra carry on luggage.
-Road transfer Punta Arenas to hotel return and driver tips.
-Park Fees
